Hi Judy.
I was looking at the fairy fabric online.. How sweet... It will be perfect for your project/. The panel in the centre is what I would use, and around the panel you could incorporate the colors from the panel and do a simple block around i...
I Love all aspects of textiles from quiltmaking(bed size as well as miniatures done to scale) fibre arts, dolls, and anything to do with fabric , fibre and beads.
Where did you learn your textle skills?
I have taken many workshops with well know textile artists.I also learn by reading(,I have an extensive library )and doing and surfing the web for tutorials... Some very inspiring stuff floating around
Anything else you want to say to introduce yourself to the group??
I would rather be in my studio working with all my "stuff" around me, than anywhere else in the world! I LOVE creating,
I am also nocturnal and enjoy working in the wee hours of the morning.
Thanks Maggie! I need to spend some time here and add photos! lol
Your work is lovely! Your postcards are super. What wonderful colors and compositions. And those purses - what treasures. I know you receive compliments everyt ime they are worn!
No probs, I know what you mean. Many people kinda use it as a bookmark, no? I do more on my blog that on here though, so that would be a better bookmark/following thing.=)
Keep up the great work!
Thanks a lot for the friends request, Maggie, but I'm not using that function. Hope you don't mind!=)

Hi Maggie,
Thank you so much for your lovely comments. It's not Japanese embroidery
( I wish! that's incredible, wish I had the patience to do it!) it's kind of padded/raised work ( I stuff out bits with felt and perle cotton to build up the shapes). I really want to try proper stumpwork - like yours! Hoping to pick up a few tips!

Hi Maggie,
I saw your lovely stumpwork, and had to look at your other work, which I really enjoyed, what a creative lady you are! Your angel bag though, has to be my absolute favourite!
Best wishes
Jules
Thanks for your comments Maggie. Goldwork/stumpwork is my favourite and doesn't take as long as it looks. Much faster than patchwork and quilting. Sandra
Thankyou
We are having a heat wave here 40 degrees to hot to do anything I'd rather the cold at least you can get warm but you can't get cold the humidity is terrible where hoping for a southerly this afternoon late

Meggie - Thanks for stopping in on my page:) I enjoy so many things that you do! I could watch your photos over and over again. Do you make the faces for your dolls? I would love to find some like yours and experiment making one or two. I love their little shoes also. Thanks for sharing so much. I must say it again, I love your fiber postcards everytime I see them I get inspired all over again. Jenna Louise
