I am a teacher of Japanese Embroidery since may 2007. My students are in Brittany. I am getting already in touch with some English stitchers . I am fond of all sorts of embroidery
Where did you learn your textle skills?
I have learnt embroidery (a little) when I was a child at school. No one was stitching in my family or neighbourhood. Then I practiced all sorts of technics by myself.or sometimes with teachers I have learnt Japanese Embroidery with Japanese teachers and English teacher too
Hi Marie, Finally I have received my Spider Mums piece, I have had to wait 8 weeks to get it. The fabric is beautifull, but there is no Box Chart so my teacher and I will have to work out how to go about the padding ect. Did you have a Box Chart? I will frame it up today, and start sitiching. I will be closely looking at yours as I go along, I hope you don't mind.
Bye for now Bev.
Hi Marie, just doing some catching up. Wondered how you were getting on and what you were working on.
I haven't got very far on Kusudama, lots of things getting in the way. Oh dear, never mind.
Hi Marie, Thankyou so much for the list of colours. I can hardly wait for my piece to arrive so I can get started. I will let you know how I progress through it.
Thanks again Bev.
Hi Marie, I think I have just removed a couple of my messages by mistake, I clicked on the x to see what it was for and the messages dissapeared. Sorry it was an accident.
I hope these two get through OK.
Bev.
Hi again Marie. Well I have finally ordered my next piece or pieces I should say. I actually ordered two, C234 Wisteria and Chrysanthemum, and the Spider Mums. I ordered the Mums on 541 the same colour as you did yours, as I loved it so much.My teacher sugested that I asked if you would be so kind as to give me the list of colours for the threads required for the piece , I hope this will not be too much to ask of you.
I will be forever thankfull if you could do this for me.
In anticipation,I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheers for now Bev.
Hi Marie, hope you got home safe and sound from Hawkwood. It was a busy couple of weeks, so much to take in and to re-learn. Paticularly in our phase 10 class.
It was lovely to meet you in person even though we didn't get much time to chat. Perhaps next time!
Hello Marie, I will be there in August. I'm attending phase 10 and teachers class. It will be so exciting to meet everyone, I'm really looking forward to putting faces to all my virtual friends, and of course attending class.
I'm busy working away on treasure ship which is going very well at the moment. I am hoping that it won't take long to finish now.

Hi Marie,
I love the Noshi - Yushoku Winter that you stitched and I also like your colors on the Spider Mums 2 ... I'm working on both of those at the moment and trying to finish Kusudama . Thanks for sharing,

Hi Marie,
Thanks for sharing your photos. Your Resonance is just beautiful - I do love the colours. It is always a delight to see how each person can do the same design differently.
And the Noshi - what a work of art - this is one of my favourite designs, and you have stitched it magnificently. 800 hours!!!!!! I can see I have a long, but enjoyable way to go yet.
I still have phase 4 Embroidery Sculpture to finish and phase 6 Eternal Grace. Then hopefully I can start on Camelias and Crane with Reeds in a couple of months.
Have you decided what you will be stitching next?
You have just welcomed spring - we are having autumn in Australia. I love the colours of the falling leaves.
