Mainly work with silk but also doing a bit of cotton and wool. Would love to learn more about felting as mine ends up uneven and lumpy(not always bad depending on what I am doing)
Where did you learn your textile skills?
Did a couple of years at Uni and been working on my own for the past 7 years. Work up in the Pilbara so there is always a lot of material up here to use for dyeing. Have lots of dyed silk but have not yet found a way of using it which seems a pity. Thought by joining something like this that I may be inspired.

Have no blog and no website something I should look into perhaps.
I am delighted to have a fellow ozzie from such a wonderful area for a friend. There is so much inspiration for artists in the Pilbara with the gorgeous colours. Do you find you are influenced by them in your work. I am on the other side in Toowoomba Looking forward to more of your lovely work.
Hello Louise, I am happy to be your friend. I see you live in the Pilbara region? The colours and textures of that region enchanted me and many years after visiting I am still moved by the beauty of photos I see. I hope you find lots of friends and continue with your art. Best wishes. Frances
