I agree. I'm so glad this group is pretty chatty! I'm sure we will keep the network humming all year with this project. Can't wait to get started - oh, except for all the other projects I need to get done first! LOL!
embroidery, quilting, postcards, collage, cloth dolls, - the list is endleess! Just about anything to do with fabric and thread. Since I retired from the day job, Textiles is my job!
Where did you learn your textle skills?
Early stitching was taught by an elderly neighbor who I called Robbie. We spent hours listening to radio soaps and crocheting or tatting. Learned some additional skills from Mom and Grandma - including machine sewing, but a lot has been self-taught - or day classes.

Actually Stumpwork is one of the subjects I have not done at the RSN but I did use my knowledge to self-teach myself! I did a couple of C&G distance courses but the teacher was not too great so I was very frustrated. This made me complete loads of research and study work by Roy and Barbara Hirst, and others. It was very up-hill for a long time:) Thank you for your very kind words. Kristina
