Crazy for textiles!

What aspect of textiles are you interested in?

I'm crazy for textiles, and am practically interested in all aspects! I am Norwegian, and at the time between jobs. I do felt, machine sawing, dyeing, bathic, crocheing and knitting... among other things.

Where did you learn your textle skills?

I am a textile teacher, and worked with textiles since I was a girl.

Anything else you want to say to introduce yourself to the group??

I am in the middle of life, just married again! Hopefully this time for life! We have 3 grown sons, 2 dogs and 1 cat. I have a studio, and l love spending time there!

My new sawing machinES!

It's true, its true!! My old machine got very ill, and had to be put to sleep. Please take a look in my blog to see what I brought with me out of the shop! Guess what will be done this weekend!???

Because of heavy times in my family, I haven't had all the time to search this website to find if there's members from Africa here!? I would love to see your work! And it would help me to get on my feet, mentally, to find places to explore! Thank you :)

My busy weekend ended in wounds!

Beeng the quick, impatient type my whole life, I should have known better than fiddle about my new felting machine! I was really lucky, only two of the needles penetrated my index finger, and only the skin, not the nail!! Be aware and careful everyone! In addition I sprained my next finger on the same hand!

Busy weekend!

Beeing so lucky, having just bought 3 new sawing machines, this weekend is filled with experiments! Trying out all my new seams, and hours go by so quickly! Time suddenly disappears! Where do they go? Is it possibly a time loophole in my studio? (can anyone please tell me the correct word to use here?? :)
