Hi Lisa,
I am actually going to be there for Teacher's class, Nov.2-5 - just booked the flight/car and hotel this morning!
After that I am planning to be there in January for the 4day class.... Atlanta has become almost like a second home for me so I am sure we will meet one of these days!!!
Don't worry too much about when you'll be back at JEC just keep stitching and focus on the pleasure that brings you... just my two cents worth.
Take care,
Nupur
Hi Lisa,
I was hoping to see you at JEC this October - was looking forward to meeting you actually but you were not there!?
How are you and how is your stitching going?
When do you plan to be there next?
Keep in touch,
Nupur
Hi Lisa, well that was a mad few weeks. So going back to the silk question. I have some cream obi lining fabric which is quite nice to stitch on, or some dark green. It's a bit narrower that standard kimono fabric, more like a shusu. Happy to send you a piece if you'd like to send me a message with your postal address I'll pop some in the post.

Thank you for welcoming me, Lisa. The scroll stitch is my first in this group and although I'm new here, I've got a big stash of crazy quilting supplies. Does this group ever have swaps for things like laces, fabric, buttons, beads, charms, threads, etc?
Hi Lisa, getting my head round things now after the courses. Are you still interesting in getting some silk?
If you are let me know if you have a specific colour in mind and I'll see if I've got some.
Hi Lisa, saw your message on the JE challenge about the silk. Am just off to do my phase 10 and teacher class. I'll get back in touch in a couple of weeks to talk colours and things.

Thanks for responding. I was wondering if you must use the crewel wool to do this type of embroidery? I got a book from the library and noticed that the crewel wool they use seems to be very coarse looking, I have some wool thread that is 2 ply but does not look as stiff as the pictures. Also I was curious if you can use silk and other thread on the patterns? Thanks so very much for responding to my inquiry:):)
Hi I have stitched Bouquet of Japan and it beautiful piece to stitch, its a big learning curver to start your journey I am stitching cords at the mo and loving them. I am also learning Japanese beading which is very different, and I find it very calming. Speak to you soon I am having a stitching weekend :-))
