I'm a crazy quilter through & through. I'm interested into moving into fused art quilts. Done some traditional quilts, but much prefer to add a twist....don't use patterns. I love threads & fibres of all kinds. Some people use antidepressents....I just step into a fabric store LOL.
Where did you learn your textle skills?
Self Taught with lots of input from the various email lists I belong to.
Hi - Is there a current swap going? What do I need to know to join? I love to do beads and embroidery, and fabric postcards too! Just retired and have some time to actually finish up projects I started years ago. Thank you. Barbara in Santa Cruz
Wow, Lisa! What an awesome crazy quilt, your work is stunning on this! So glad Marie made a mention to come over and check out your photos... congrats on your win.
Hi Lisa....Congratulations on your First Place win! You totally deserve it...this is one awesome piece of art...glad to see it recognized! Enjoy your ride on Cloud Nine!
Won't be out until July, I'm afraid. I'll let you know. Lunch would be nice, and you could take me to your local bead store, or we could fondle fiber in Gardnerville.
I started one CQ, called Victorian Memories. But.....I went to my grandmothers house and picked up family photos that she wanted me to save, blow up etc... Well needless to say I have a list from her on what she wants done. I got inspiration. I have some really neat photos of my family on their ranch/ farm. My Grandmothers parents owned a farm. Great grandfather Earnest raised horses. Lots of pictures of horses. My grandfathers family owned a ranch up near Johnson City, Texas.... My great great grandfather is half choctaw and you can tell in the pictures. Well like I said inspiration, I started working on a new CQ this morning. So I can see this project lasting as long as Dreamweaver.
