Thank you very much Laurel for your kind comment on my Windy October.  I loved all the colours too especially the leaves.

Glad to have you as a stitching friend Laurel. Can't wait to see more of you work. It is all just lovely. I feel as if we are already friends as well. You have a wonderful week end and find some time to stitch. Oh and enjoy those beautiful  flowers. They always smell so sweet. Hugs Elaine

Hi Laurel, thank you for your lovely comments. Yes, I do most of my own design work. I am terrible at following instructions - always have to change something. Having said that I do read a lot of instructions and pick up new ideas and ways of doing things that way.

Happy stitching,

Anna x

Hi Laurel,

I loved that little blue flower, and yes, it will be part of a larger piece - actually Hungarian embroidery motifs around the hem of a plain pink purchased dress.  I finished and washed it yesterday, and despite testing the threads for bleeding before using, one of them bled.  Boo Hoo!  It's just a little bit, but I worked so long and hard on it.  Pics after I've pressed it.

Hi Laurel! It's very helpful that we both kept our maiden names in making connections from long ago. And yes, things are great here in Falmouth, although quite cold this week. Virginia must be a nice change for you. I'm glad to see that you are exploring stitching! Were you in Nancy Chute's 4H sewing class?

Feeling close to your Mother, Cousin and GrandMother while your stitching is not strange at all! It reflects in your work as I have had a smile on my face the whole time looking at your wall. I find myself saying to you that we're so proud of you and this is where you belong!

Thank you for sharing your sunshine!
