Whew! I thought I would end up behind by ages, but now I see that you are breaking until July! I just now am cutting fabric and sewing the pieces together to start a band sampler, and thought this would be a great way to jump-start it. And now I can…
Roving Weaver
I travel for work (or at least, I have been for the last three years, have been between assignments for two months and may get a permanent job now) and I weave, hence "roving weaver." :-) I also do a lot of other crafts, though. I keep…
I love twitter! I tend to post more than read, however - I post from my phone, but it's difficult to read it from my phone.

Hi Laura, Hope you are ok, I just wondered if you had posted the doll yet, as I hadn't received anything and would hate to think it was lost in the mail.

Hi Laura,
Welcome! You and I are swap partners so I thought I would stop by to say hello. I enjoyed your blog, weaving is a new area for me, I love the animals, they're great.

Welcome to SF, Laura. Wow! Not a member 24 hours yet and you are already in a swap. You go, girl! I will need your "snail mail" address to send to. I am inviting you to be a friend - that way we can exchange private messages. Now, I'm off to read your blog so I can get to "know" you!

Profile Information
What aspect of textiles are you interested in?
doing (weaving, embroidery, SRE, quilting, applique, bead embroidery, bead weaving - off loom - and fabric dyeing)
Where did you learn your textle skills?
mostly self-taught, from books. Have also taken one quilting class because I could just NOT "get" the rocking stitch without being shown once. Learned to quilt via a friendship quilt - a college friend and I mailed blocks back and forth. We also were in a round robin, which helped, as well.
Anything else you want to say to introduce yourself to the group??
I work better in a group, or with at least one other person. I need feedback, to be able to bounce ideas off of people. I love round robins and swaps and projects like that. Am hoping to find some involving embroidery!
