yummmmm I just want to hold it and inhale. I wonder if scrapings from an apple branch would smell apple-y? I know burning one smells wonderful, but not something you would wanna wear....

Hi Kim,
Loved your blog, and your work, really clever and inventive - and the bears are just brilliant.

Northern Europe and Native American, interesting choices... I would go for India/china/tibet ( maybe I'm just an ageing hippy at heart)

HI, Radio 4 and 7, yes I can relate to that, I also use talking books. Music is confined to ambient/chill and some world in my room. Downstairs it gets loud and anything goes :-) sometimes If I have spent a long time on tyhe same piece, seeing it again will remind which book I was listening to at the time.

Is that your father? I can see how the paintings would lend themselves to be worked in textile.

whereabouts are you? we used to head up to glaisdale or aysgarth for rallies but more recently we have been travelling south as most of our club are in devon or cornwall so we often meet in wales or the gloucester sort of area. Thanks for reading :)

Thank you, Tim, for your nice comment.
It would be interesting to learn about the research you were in. I am absolutely mad about traditional textile and embroidery:)

Profile Information

What aspect of textiles are you interested in?
I use alot of different print techniques with hand and machine embroidery. Last year I finished a degree in Textiles and Surface Design and have been writing a blog about life on the North York Moors and what happens now that college is over...
I've been working as a freelance designer doing embroideries for children's wear for the past 6 months and have sold a few in America. Hard work but I love it.
Where did you learn your textle skills?
England ( Cleveland College of Art and Design)

I've also started an Etsy shop http://KimTillyer.Etsy.com.
