Profile Information

What textiles are you interested in?
My true love is needlepoint but I have done lampwork as well. I appreciate all textile arts, they just make me happy!
Where did you learn your textile skills?
My mother taught me to stitch when I was very young and when I couldn't find canvases that I liked I would either repaint store bought ones or design my a own and now I have been designing needlepoint for 45 years.
Is there anything else you'd like other members of Stitchin' Fingers to know about you? Please feel free to tell us a little bit about yourself by way of introduction.
I have designed pieces for people all over the world but my favorite designs are still my needlepoint dolls.

Hello Katherine, twice now I've tried to reply to you message and they haven't worked. Don't know what I'm doing wrong! Thankyou for asking about me, life has been a bit hectic, I've been trying to do a few things but not much to show for it. Looking forward to seeing some of your new creations, it's nice to see your smiling face. Regards Anne

Hi Katherine, I don't have any pictures yet and have only done a few kits in needlepoint. But I will try to get some photos soon.

Thank you so much for the welcome Katherine, it will take me a bit of time to get my bearings on the wealth of information here, but I'm looking forward to getting involved!

Hi Katherine,

I use to do quite a bit but for the last 10 years or so I've been knitting and quilting. Lately I realized that I missed the calming effect of needlepoint , took out a canvas that I loved but never worked on and have just begun.

Hi katherine,

Thanks for your comments, I'm glad you like my Newsletter. It's good to know there are people reading it!

As for what kind of work, any kind of work that is creative (oh, but must be designed by the artist who made it, i.e. no kits, projects from patterns etc)! Stitching, glass, dolls, sculpture, painting, anything hand made goes. Did you have something I can put in the next one (comes out first week of Jan)? I love your needlepoint dolls and I have readers who are very into needlepoint. Get in touch with me through my website which is on my home page.

Kind regards

Sarah

Hi! It has to do with the ranking (stars) you get on your item and how menny visitors you´ve had. At least that is what I belive...:-)

351 miles to the north central from LimA, sorry I missed that.

Hi again,
It was me who taught and designed the projects for these women so they can sell them. the place is located about 351 miles from Lima to get there and a 12 hour trip by bus.
Unfortunately, the project was cancelled due to lack of resources to continue :(
