All!!! Hand embroidery, feltmaking, bead embellishments on felt etc. plus experimenting with using metal, found objects,etc.etc. Just discovered needle-felting and having fun with it.
Where did you learn your textle skills?
Various nightclasses while working then the foundation year plus a bit more of City and Guilds hand embroidery after retiring. This introduced me to lots of artwork possibilities, papermaking, felting, machine embroidery as well as hand embroidery.
We have been without internet connection for a week. So will try to get caught up this weekend. My Kitchen needs cleaning for Thanksgiving. Dreaming Quilts : ) Carmen
Hi Kath. I am so looking forward to the Traveling Pages swap. The stone doorways of Greece sound wonderful, as well as the peeling wooden doors. I've just been sitting here looking at your wonderful boxes! Gorgeous!
Hi Kath
I firmly believe that is developemnt within the textile world, the What if's and I wish i had done and how will this change when i do that. Its all part of the learning. I think we all feel like that after creating something. When i am making something its all very intense but once its finished i then start by saying if i had done this or that and that is how we learn. Anything you need and if i can get it i will be happy to get and send along. Love Chris
Hi Kath
If i could do one course again it would the creative sketchbooks its brilliant and i enjoyed every minute of it. I am not into scrapbooking but i guess its similar in that you pretty up every page and you add embelishments by use of art. I am not an artist by any streach of the imagination but you don't need to be with that course just be prepared to play. I totally agree the online courses are outragously priced but if i can help in any way then please say, i love to share my knowledge with people and i also love to learn from others. I intend to keep a sketchbook with all the details of this fabric page book swap. if you ever want anything sending out to you let me know. Love Chris
Hi Kath!

Thanks Kath for asking me to be your friend i am looking forward to getting to know everyone. I see you live in Greece. Its a country that i haven't visited yet but plan to in the next couple of years. We mainly do Spainish countries. What is the weather like with you, here its been blowing a gale. We have been away for the weekend back to my home town Tewkesbury had a lovely shopping trip yesterday aoround all the craft shops looking for bits to add to the pages or most importanlty inspiration. Love Chris
Hi Kath, thanks for your comments. I used a craft soldering iron to free- cut the design out of craft Vilene, which was dyed and layered with foil film.
I want to make a wallhanging based on Cretan things so have downloaded a load of flower pics to try to find a way to represent them - my challenge to myself is that I don't want to mke a photographic representation, more an abstract feel !! That's my big problem.
