Yes, it was a DMC pattern that came with eight linen flosses and ten heart patterns. I did alter the pattern so that the saying could fit in the center. Not only did I have to eliminate some of the butterflies, I alos added a few tiny ones in vari...

I like all three of your ornaments, and this one is my favorite. I also like how you give details in your descriptions. I am wondering how you attach the two linen fabrics together. Please let me know.

Hi-thanks for the credit! I was actually inspired by others, SharonB I think. It was the first chicken scratch piece I did. Yours looks great!

This is very creative! I taught myself to tat some twenty years ago with a kit. The kit came with a long needle not a shuttle so that is how I learned. I made two small samples at the time. Alas, I did it so long ago that I have forgotten how. My ...

Thanks Karen for your comment. Yes, it was fun to do; if not, I am unable to create. I want to keep my fantasy, my pleasure to go out my rules and boundaries.

Hi Karen, I am going to use them on the wall, but you could make them much larger, or the central theme of a wall-hanging.I guess the ideas are pretty much "open".

Hmmm..... I wonder if there is any kind of adhesive that you could apply to the back of the cloth that would hold the chicken scratch threads in place?

Hi Karen,

I really haven't had time to learn all the ins and outs of the SF site yet. I can't even find where to read about this... Today when I looked at my page there was a box with a bow on it and a sentence telling me I had not received any "gifts" yet. I have no clue what that means! I am not sure I want to click on it to find out either. LOL

What are you working on? Do you work on one project until it is finished or do you have two or three going all at the same time?

I have a couple of unfinished pieces I really need to finish. If I get too far away from them I find it very hard to go back to them. I think I just loose interest.

Thanks Karen. YEs, it's a part of a future quilt, the block is appliqued (Shannon rose) and now, I embroider it. More photos later. It's a very long work, and I begin only the embroidery........................(8 big blocks)
