"Lorelei, I use "sized felt," in the middle, which is just craft felt treated with a stiffener. I wrap the embroidery around one piece and a backing cloth around another, then slip stitch them together. The silver parts on top have rings…"

- What textiles are you interested in?
- Embroidery, mostly, though I knit and crochet when I've got the time.
- Where did you learn your textile skills?
- At my mother's knee.

- I've been making embroidered jewelry for about 8 years. Before that I worked for a rug maker and worked as a freelance writer for magazines like CraftsReport and FiberArt.
