"I agree, Carol-Anne.  I think the fact that this group has not grown and others not created suggests the level of interest.  There are so many groups available for knitters, i.e. ravelry, knitting paradise, etc.  I even check out…"

Thanks.  I'm working on the technicalities of doing it.  Wish me luck!

Dear Julie, Thank you for taking time to comment on my fancy necklace.  I always keep my item, in this case the neckalce, flat on the table while pulling the nylon thread and doing it at the right tension to avoid the nylon from curving. I also place the last dangling bead, the tear-drop shape in this case, in between my forefinger and thumb while pulling the thread. I hope you can try try and see whether it works. Best regards, Salmah.

Hello Julie.  The story about Song of Songs is a long one spanning 70 years!  The original panels were published between February and May 1936.  My mother completed the first two and part of the third.  I finished the third panel but could not progess further without the information on panel four.  Thanks to members of Stitchin Fingers, in the last two months I not only found the issue I needed but someone also sent me a picture, so I am now finally (!) completing this project that my late mother started so many years ago.

The curriculum that Nupur is referring to is the phases of learning taught by the Japanese Embroidery Center in Atlanta, and which I teach in the UK.  You gradually learn the basic 46 techniques to complete your study and reach a proficiency level that enables you to teach and pass on this embroidery art form if you so wish.

Hope this answers your questions.

Margaret
