What textiles are you interested in?
anything and everything to do with textiles
Where did you learn your textile skills?
Going to workshops, books, internet, much experimentation
Is there anything else you'd like other members of Stitchin' Fingers to know about you? Please feel free to tell us a little bit about yourself by way of introduction.
i like to be experimental and I am often recognised by people who see my work on a regular basis as anything I make tends to be for wearing or carrying and I alawys make things that people want to talk about or comment on because they are very different. I love looking for my materials from thrift shops as I am into recycling.

Thank you for your comment on my piece Raspberries, Blueberries, and a Happy Blue Bug.  If you would like to try stumpwork, Jane Nicholas's books are very clear and helpful.  I found some at my local library.  This is only my second stumpwork project, though I have done many other types of embroidery. If I can be of any assistance, let me know!

I love your Colonel Percy Handbag! He's marvelous.   Have a wonderful day!

Hi Julia

Many thanks for all your lovely comments on my recent work.  They are very much appreciated.  Your work is so beautifully sculptural.  Love the jackets in particular.

Happy stitiching

Dear Julia,

Thank you for your nice comments on the completion of my TAST-2012 sampler! It has been a busy few weeks for me with lots of teaching and a knitting and stitching show. This week will see a lot of catching up and some creation of new ideas for future courses and workshops.

Have a nice day, Jessica

Love your work Julia! I know Kirwee well as I lived for 8 years in Darfield as a child. I'm in Wanaka. If I ever get up to Chch I'll let you know and maybe we could meet for a coffee.
