how many shafts do you have? if you have 8 or more you could do a 5 or a 6 end satin and use the extra 2 shafts for selvedge.
with 16 shafts you could do 8 end satins."

Hi Everyone,I am wanting to weave material using 60/2 silk to embroider on. Would anyone care to suggest a weave structure? I'd like something other than plain weave.Cheers JudySee More

- Mainly at a tertiary textile college course
- Is there anything else you'd like other members of Stitchin' Fingers to know about you? Please feel free to tell us a little bit about yourself by way of introduction.
- I ran a bridal and special occasion millinery business from home, I also made silk flower bouquets and arrangements. I closed the business while I was at college as I didn't have time for it, and I've never reopened it. Reading is also a passion of mine be it magazines or novels. I an always listening to audio books while I work. I also enjoy gardening when I get the time.
