Here she is, finally off the needle and on the couch. It was a fun project working with three kinds of yarn, floating chains, and several color techniques.

Floating Chains

Sound strange?  Well, not for me.  One of the most enjoyable things I do is dink around with new stitches and see how many ways I can manuver the yarn to form shapes and special affects.Working on the my new pillow design below, I wanted to come up with a lacy grid over the bronze color in the frame.  I tries Cables using black fingering yarn but it was to bulky looking.  My next try was using lace weight over my fingering yarn, but this time I decide to run the loops in between the stitches.…See More

Is there anything else you'd like other members of Stitchin' Fingers to know about you? Please feel free to tell us a little bit about yourself by way of introduction.
I am addicted to creating pictures with yarn, I call it needlepoint knitting. Not only do you create the canvas as you knit, but you can add immense detail with Crewel embroidery and crochet as well.

Although my website is basically for knitters, my free patterns page offers several free sewing projects- a craft caddie that fits over a 5 gallon bucket, and instructions for a stranded knitting bag. All my tutorials are in PDF format.

Hi there. Most kits etc here use 12 count canvas, not 14.The 8 ply wool works best on 10 c canvas, you will need a finer ply for 12 or 14. I would suggest 5ply wool altho experiment to see :)
