- What aspect of textiles are you interested in?
- spinning, knitting, weaving, embroidery, sewing, quilting, ATCs, cloth dolls, etc.
- Where did you learn your textle skills?
- I'm mostly self taught from books and magazines. I learnt sewing at school, my Grandmother taught me the basics of knitting, and my Mother taught be the basics of spinning.
- Anything else you want to say to introduce yourself to the group??
- I have 2 cats and 2 dogs. I love the outdoors and spend as much time in the sunshine as possible.

- OK, Johanna, you have one of Helen Deighan (english) : Textile Coil Pots And Baskets and one other of Susan Breier (american); for me, i combine the 2 methods. It's fun, and pleasant to do (very well like gift) but in a basket, you use 30 meters of coil and 30 meters of cut fabric! Remember, it's rolled!!. it's difficult to find and expensive. Well, It's recommanded to use coton coil, but I don't use it, I use plastic , not too hard (because the machine needle!) Helen Deighan has her own interesting method of dying fabric, she explain it in this book, but I use commercial fabric, because, I don't find this dying in my rural country...........If I can give some tips, I shall do it. Good luck (hoping that one day, you can show here in S.F. your basket ; I shall add some soon, but I have very moch work at job!)

- Johanna, thanks for your comment about my basket. It's impossible to me to explain how I do this, it's to long to explain, and for me difficult to explain in english( I am french) but if you desire, I have a book and you can send your email address for the english author.
