Hi Jessica,

I am so pleased that you enjoyed your class in Koln.  Hanazume is a lovely design and a good one to start with.  I can image that Beate is a patient and inspiring tutor and, yes, her stitching is very beautiful.  I can only aspire to reach such a level.  I hope that you continue to enjoy stitching Hanazume now you are home.  Don't forget, there are many experienced Japanese embroiderers on this sight who are more than willing to answer any questions you have and to offer support and encouragement if necessary.  There are a couple of fan designs that are Phase 2/3.  One is called Hiogi, that is the one I have seen stitched most often, the other (I think) is called Sensu.  Both are beautiful and I am sure you will enjoy stitching whichever you have chosen.  The hardest part is waiting a full year before the next class!

Hi Jessica,  I can't believe that June is here already.  What date is your Japanese embroidery class?  Do you know which design you will be stitching?

Dear Jessica - Thank you for your kind words on my thimbles and I am sorry that I didn't get back to you in timely fashion as I did't realized that you had left comments. Your teamri is striking, I especially like the one pictured in the centre, in green and pink one. Happy stitching, C.P.

HI Jessica. Welcome to Stitchin Fingers and the Japanese Embroidery group. Your temari are beautiful. I have just made my first Japanese thimble. It is not very good but I enjoyed making it and will have another go some time.

My sister-in-law lives in Amsterdam so we visit the Netherlands quite often but I have never been close to Beerta (I looked it up on the map!)
