Profile Information

What aspect of textiles are you interested in?

I am interested in almost anything that you can make with a threaded needle and I knit. I do needlepoint (charted and painted canvas), cross stitch (contemporary and sampler reproductions), hardanger, black work and surface embroidery. I knit and am currently learning to make lace. I also quilt and make clothing.

Where did you learn your textle skills?

My mother sewed, knitted and did many kinds of embroidery and macrame. She taught me to sew. I also took classes in clothing construction in school. As an adult, I have attended workshops and participated in on line classes through various guilds and Joggles.

I am working on a knitted lace shawl. I am knitting the lace edging directly to the shawl. Iam also making snowflakes in different techniques. Iam also doing several SALs.
