Hi Lorelei,
My bookmark design would be unusual because it is one that I have deveopled. I took an edge from Nottingham's book, mirrored it, then added some tallies down the center. There are certainly things about it that I would change for a "nex…
Hi Everyone,
Just thought I would let you all know that I have finished my current Bedfordshire bookmark. It is on my blog if you wish to see.
Lorelei, certainly some interesting pieces on that site you posted. Thanks for sharing.
Lorelei, I am so used to working with grids, it didn't even dawn on me until your comment that I didn't need them with this one. I use the drawing program a lot with my Drawn Thread designs & have used it with all of my Beds pieces so far, so it nat…
Hi Nola,
My lace is progressing very slowly! If you visit my blog, & scroll right down on the right hand side to "labels", click on "bobbin-lace" to check out all my lace stories.
Sue, not really advanced when I see that piece of Torchon on your blog. How do you find using the embroidery floss for bobbin lace? I am using one strand on a bookmark which is currently on my pillow, & have decided that I would rather use it for st…
Thanks for the link Jenny. I haven't checked in for a while as I have been ill and then had to catch up at work. (I don't think I will ever catch up).
Thanks
Carolyne
Jenny: I went looking for your blog to see if you have any photos of your bobbin lace in process. Disappointment. But I see by your daily diary that you are working on it. So I have something to look forward to.

I just went to look at your blog again. Those blue pieces you posted last Thursday are marvelous. I just sat there shaking my head and thinking how could I have missed knowing about them for a whole week? All 4 of the "filler" pieces are wonderful. The soft variegated colors do a lot for the total impact. I'm going to have to rethink my monochrome ideas. I confess I copied the jpg files, where the blog would allow it, so I can go look at them whenever I want to. I'd love it if you could let us know (or let me know) every time you upload another drawn work piece. I can't get enough of seeing them.
Jenny
I finally figured out how to find your blog. (Thanks for the directions.) Your work is incredible. I can see it will take me hours and hours to explore it all. I look forward in anticipation to a long stretch of drooling. THANK YOU!
Thank you for the comment about my sampler. I am really enjoying the process. It won't be hard to find enough inspiration to fill the whole 3 metres.
I am not planning to frame it as it will be far too big. The plan is to make it into a roll. I will probably make a bag to fit it into as well. It would make a great teaching tool if I ever get my act into gear. I would probably photocopy it and work out interesting combinations of bands by shuffling bits of paper much as you suggested. Need to get back to it though - 1 and a half metres still left to stitch.
