My passion is hand embroidery but i'm interested in all needle works
Where did you learn your textle skills?
I started doing embroidery years ago but it's about five years ago that it became a real passion and now i don't stop! I learnt alone, starting with very simple models and worked my way up.
Anything else you want to say to introduce yourself to the group??
I was born in Wales but moved to France many years ago. I now live in Corsica. If you would like to see my work just clic on my blog! Your comments are welcome in french or in english.
Thanks Jeannie. "My" sea was influenced by Corsica and Mediterranée. I have seen and admired here and on your blog, your beautiful 2 recent embroideries: BRAVO!
Thanks Jeannie for your comment.
Yes, I believe in fairies and do an embroiered quilt for my grand -daughter with the them of wings: angel, dragonflies, butterflies, fairies, birds.................
Do you know that I see your blog with regularity?
Thanks Jeannie for your lovely comments re my bouquet of flowers. When doing bullion stitch it is best to use a Milliner's or Straw needle - I use a fine size as I enjoy stitching with a single strand; also remove the wraps evenly from the needle and laying them on your fabric without tightening. I hope this is helpful. Margaret
Hi, Jeannie, Thanks for your comment about my last stumpwork.
I was in Bordeaux with My 4 children, we were 9 and it was fiesta for the birthday of my husband.
My son was going back from Africa, just the day before.........
So I am in late!
Hi Jeannie, My work is actually all stumpwork except for the hands and sleeves which is material. I am sorry it is so blurred but I forgot to take a snap before I framed it. Margaret
Thanks Jeannie. I am in late for answering: I had a house full of friends for 3 days; no embroideries, only chat, apéritif and flea market (famous in Périgord...........;)Ouf, Ouf, I am tired( but happy)
Thanks again, dear friend of Corsica
