Profile Information

What textiles are you interested in?
embroidery, applique, quilting, hand dyeing, rust dyeing, hand stitching or any kind. Not a big machine stitch person, except for my quilts which I mostly do by machine, quilting is by hand sometimes.
Where did you learn your textile skills?
My Grandma was a seamstress and lived on the river, I can remember when I was really young she would take a piece of paper and draw a heart on it and thread a needle with red thread and tell me to stitch on the lines. :) Must be where I got my LOVE OF ANYTHING FIBRE.
Is there anything else you'd like other members of Stitchin' Fingers to know about you? Please feel free to tell us a little bit about yourself by way of introduction.
Married, live in Wisconsin on a farm with Hubby, horses, dairy cows, dogs and cats, TONS OF BIRDS, Our Daughters are all grown and gone but not far away. Love to stitch, listen to music, read, horse back ride, cook, but mostly love to sit on our front porch and look out over the valley.

Jeanne Jabs...a large magnet works for me.. It just sucks up needles , keeping them in place..dropped ones as well..  I do hope to make a book for some though...such as my favorite beading needles..  Mother kept a padded fabric firmly stitched to her sewing machine, I used to use the cuff of my T Shirt.. ~~Sandra

Thank you for your comment about my blackwork.

You are lucky to have such beautiful stitching from your grandmother. I enjoyed looking at them

Jeanne have you seen the new stitch journals that Sharon is putting out...I am sure you would enjoy taking part. Are you going to make your jug into a cushion, I noticed the circular stitching, or what else do you have planned for it. Love the cutwork doiley as well.
