Hi Jane,
At the Harrogate show I visited Midori's section. She displayed an embroided Kimono with a Christmas theme. Maybe oneday I would be able to do something similar and wear it. Do you recommend the book you mentioned in your last mail?
If so,I might get it when I go back to Japan next year.If you need something from Japan, write it down and I will put it on my shopping list.
I have not done recently stitching because three are so many other things I want to do in my spare time... We have 3cats.Black cat,Noah is the one who walk with me in summer. This morning we found Noah covred mud and one of his eyes was scrached.
Hope there is nothing serious. Michiko

Thank You ,good to talk to you today. Take Care Lena
Jane, your work is absolutely beautiful; thanks for sharing your photos. I'm only a beginner in embroider, because I spend most of my hand work time with hand applique and hand quilting. However, the embroidery that I am seeing on SF is enticing me to practice my stitches.

Traditional Japanese embroidery is my passion, I don't do any other kind of embroidery. I love looking at all the work everyone else is doing and admire the time and skill it requires.
Where did you learn your textle skills?
Bournemouth with Japanese Embroidery UK
Anything else you want to say to introduce yourself to the group??
I have recently completed my phase 10 and teachers class with Kazumi and Master Tamura and will be working with one of my tutors as a student teacher while I complete my Kusudama and until I feel confident and am qualified to branch out on my own as a tutor.
Plums flower in February(coldest month) in Japan so it is an early sign of sring.
Looking at your embroidery I see some of buds (Pale pink) are about to open.
I love owls too.Behind our house there are some big trees where they someimes visit and hoot.
David always points it out to me. He used to have some peacocks. They are noisy. Your owls look fluffy
I feel I want to stroke their heads. Mchiko
