Worry not, Laura, if you were preaching at all, it was to the converted!! How often I think 'Less of the "should", "ought to" and "must", if you please!'=)
I like to give stitched gifts and, as this year was our 10th anniversary, i wanted it to b...
Elizabeth,
I hope you have your groove back. I am new to SF and I was surprised to find your concern. I am 63 years old, and I have a hard time understanding why you would feel obligated to do any kind of sewing project. A card for your husband? ...

Read a quilt magazine.
When I get stuck in a rut I drag out one of my many UFOs...which I did this morning. Rainy skies made me gloomy, but I determined to finish that baby quilt for charity I started 2 yrs ago - AND I DID ! !!...
That is such good advice! I find I can get caught up in worrying about the next project (or lack of) and forget that the rest is important as well. Thank you for the reminder. You said it quite well!
I know how this feels like. I am sure there are other serious matters happening around you other than lack of inspiration. Looking back now, I believe my experience was more of a rest. Before the stitching pauses, I usually had intensive stitching...

So, if not needlework, what DO you feel like doing at the moment?
