Hand embroidery. I do counted cross stitch and traditional embroidery, and I have recently become keen on crazy quilting and fabric postcards - thanks to Stitchin Fingers! I collect old embroidered linens of all kinds, including aprons, and they can be seen on my blogs.
Where did you learn your textle skills?
I learnt basic stitching skills when I was about 6 years old at primary school, and later at secondary school. I became interested in embroidery again in my 30's, and when I was 40-something, I joined the Embroidery Guild of Victoria, where I took the basic embroidery course "Elements Of Stitching".
Anything else you want to say to introduce yourself to the group??
I'm 61 years young, married with no children, and before I retired, I worked as a personal carer for elderly and disabled people.
Hi Gina -I looked at your blog - love those peacocks! I saw in our newspaper, and will try, using peacock feathers on a sprig of greens for a holiday decoration. Since I just got new blue carpets in my living room and did this year's tree in silver, white, and blue ornaments, I'm hoping to make this decoration. I only have 2 peacock feathers...there's one in our neighborhood who once a year wanders. Keep up the good work! YOur work is beautiful!

Hi Gina
Don't know how to send a private message, so I am leaving my email address here for you, so that we can exchange postal addresses for the Christmas Exchange.
Gina, in my original blast about the Christmas postcard exchange I should have said that I don't think the problem was your fault. Clearly you were trying to avoid problems (as you said) and this was the result. As they say "no good deed goes unpunished." I'll stay off the exchange, but good luck, and thanks for the thankless job of organizing it.
HE HE Gina thanks for the thought ..............I don't know where the icon for virtual gifts appeared from on my page ???? I'll send you thoughts of virtual chocolate back....Love Lorna x
