You may be answering this question in your guidelines Ruth, but am wondering about finishing the edges. As I have looked at some of the finished books, I see some pages are neatly edged to fit the size perfectly, and some have wonderful lacy or fluf…
I guess it's about getting to that time where the "Swap Mama" gets to take everyone's ideas and say, "This is how it's going to be!" I'm totally OK with that. Just do what will work best for everyone. Re: the pocket - One pocket on the back cover wa…

I love crazy quilting, embroidery, and silk ribbon work. I have returned to cross-stitch as I have embarked on a Christmas biscornu ornament project for the grandkids.
Where did you learn your textle skills?
My grandma in Iowa, USA taught me to crochet and embroider, but I didn't do much with it during my early years. About 11 years ago a friend asked me to go to an SRE class, and that was the beginning of my addiction. I have since been largely self-taught, guided by books and online resources.
Gayle...Thanks for your comment on my biscornu. I gave it as a gift to a friend in France. She actually took the lovely photo for me. Just visited your flickr site and am amazed at all your crazy quilting. LOVELY!!! It is surely a lot of work. I work full-time and have little time for sewing and stitching, but love to in my spare time. Your photos are abundant and show your beautiful work!
Gayle, you can adapt, but if you want the pattern of some of these ornements, I can photocopy and send them .............
I have 2 or 3; after, I have adapted. It's long to do, and little repetitive, but full of joy
Hi Gayle,
