Now I just flat out love this!!! Is it inspired by jelly fish?

This is an interesting and attractive incorporation of a button. Too often people just seem to throw buttons down on the fabric and call it embellishment. This is a much better integration of media than I usually see.

This is delightful. Red is such a wonderful color.

Hi Carol, You were fortunate to find this for such an inexpensive price. I have a friend who is a dealer in Chinese antiques and I've learned a great deal from her. I collect Chinese minority peoples embroidery, but I still love this beautiful stuff…

Hi Ellen, as a weaver for over 30 years I appreciate tapestry work and yours is wonderful. Did you use a loom or a cloth base? Since the edges look so nice, it's hard to tell!

Hi, Gaye! Thanks for leaving a comment, and for your kind words. It's always encouraging to hear from other stitchers! I haven't been very active on Stitchin' Fingers lately - not because I don't want to be... just a matter of time! This weekend, I think I'll have to set up some time to see what's new here! Don't you just LOVE browsing through the gallery??? There are So Many Talented Stitchers gathered here!

Hi, Gaye, thanks for your comment... I enjoy bright colours elsewhere, but in my own stitching I need a lot of neutrals...

Hello Gaye,
If you are looking for sequins, I built a small online shop for my mother a few month ago specialized in Luneville embroidery.
I live in France but the idea of the shop comes precisely from the fact that it was not convenient for me to go to Paris to find supplies.
You can buy strung sequins or sequins on strands for Luneville embroidery at Brodely.
Foreign customers can pay with Paypal and 1€ is around $1.40 at the moment.
For a big part of the catalog, if you include the shipping cost, I don't think that prices are competitive because you will find american suppliers (with less taxes and cheaper labor!). But for goldwork supplies and sequins "on strand", it is different because everything is manufactured in Europe as far as I know.

Hello Gaye, nice to meet you and welcome to the community. Thank you so much for your kind words about my work.
Concerning the sequins I bought them in Paris a small store downtown a long time ago. I really don´t know here you would find them in USA.
Please feel free to contact me again and enjoy the site, there is plenty of talented and friendly artists from around the world here.
Paul :)
