Hi Margaret!  Thank you for the help on thread count and the book suggestion.  I looked at your other pieces and I don't have the words to describe how beautiful they are.  I can see that this is 20 years of experience!

Thank you again Margaret for making time to comment on my latest cushion cover. Your batik quilt on your blog is very attractive. I also like the fabric flowers that you made which could be useful for crazy quilt. I just love it!

Hi Margaret,
I have been very busy trying to finish work for my city and guilds course I love the sewing but it's a thought thinking about the presentation! Anyway hope to get on with it later this week when I am still off on school holidays. This weekend my husband and I are off to the isle of Skye for a few days so hopefully will get some more inspiration from the lovely scottish scenery ! Mvairi will get round to adding some photos

Hi Margaret, Thank you for you encouraging  words. Ribbon embroidery is very simple. It only uses very basic embroidery stitches. It is just the thread that you change. I use a lot of the 4mm silk ribbon when I stitch with it, It can be expensive but I bought mine at Amazon  20 colors 10 meters each spool for $42.99 on Amazon. The threads do come from the UK so you maybe able to find them cheaper then this. I just wanted to pass on this little bit of information about ribbon embroidery. Happy Stitching Hugs Elaine
