Fiona...I agree, they are truly attempting to take over the world. I KNOW that they have taken over my art room!! I am in the process of cleaning up and finishing several things begun! Good luck on your finishing. It is a difficult road!
Hi,
I'm new to Stitcin Fingers and to this group. In February I got my craft room cleaned up and the crafts there organized and photographed. I don't have the pictures of UFOs and WISPs up on Flickr yet, but I have a list of them on listology.com....
Yeah, the holidays will make a big hole in the UFO time. I guess that is why I chose a fairly small project this time. Ha! I will probably decide to embellish and it will take months! I feel like I need to keep the momentum going, though. If I take off a couple of months I'm likely to accumulate MORE UFOs!
How about calling this cycle Holiday Madness? Or something along those lines. We can make it an extra long cycle to accomodate those with busier schedules. I'll leave it up to you.
Hi Ellie. I have selected my next UFO project. Do you plan to start a new cycle or should I tag it onto Funny little things? Can't believe it is already November!!!
I am interested in quilting, both sane and crazy and hand embroidery.
Where did you learn your textle skills?
I was introduced to quilting about 15 years when I lived in the US. I took some classes and from there on I was hooked.
Some time ago I found an article about cq and was fascinated about the possibilities and knew I had to try this. So I started my first cq and this is when I did my first embroidery stitches since school ;-) I did learn a lot from sharons stitch dictionary and I got to love hand embroidery. I am not very goog by trying to get better ;-)
Anything else you want to say to introduce yourself to the group??
I am participating in TAST at stitching fingers and I love it very much since it
is motivating to try new stitches in a group with nice and friendly people. And step by step I will get something like my own stitch reference "book". So when I make a cq I can flip through my "book" and decide which stitch I put one the quilt next ;-))))
