Violette Severin replied to Elizabeth Woodford's discussion Quilting Arts- dissapointment! in the group books and magazines
"I no longer read it either. I am not an art quilter and no longer wish to try new surface design techniques. There was some interest in the past but I have decided to stick with traditional quilting."

Elizabeth, yes, I know Susan Elliott. I studied Japanese Embroidery with her for about a year. I also follow her blog (when time permits), and took an e-Course from her a few months ago. She used to be the President of the Constellation Embroidery Guild, and I first met her there. Your work is amazing. Your dyed fabrics are scrumptious! I love your batiks....lovely designs!!! Thanks for the friendship!!

Now that our Traveling Page swap is over, Ruth has suggested submitting an article to Cloth Paper Scissors magazine.  Would you be interested in showing your book?  Please let me know.

Hello Elizabeth, thank you so much for the explanation with the gelatine. You are so active with teaching that I hardly dare another question, but here it is anyway: Is this normal gelatine, which you use in the kitchen? Do you apply the colour on it when it is hard? I remember that I read it somewhere in a magazine, but who knows where ...........? I copied your text so there wont be any problem with remembering in the future.

Hello, new friend! I am delighted. If you open my page and further photos, you find a album named scrumbles. And you can see the scarf which I made one year ago and when I put it around my neck and go out it is sensational! I prepared many little pieces which I will assemble once ...... hopefully! Your work is fantastic - I love the printed fabrics, your beadwork excellent. Gel print? How does this work?

Elizabeth - Thanks for the gift. I'm not sure I'm always feeling full of grace about how this swap is going but trying my best to be diplomatic about it. Thanks for taking the time to let me know how you feel and for keeping on track with sending your pages! ;0)

Hi Elizabeth....just looking around the site at photos and saw your batiks. I haven't seen or thought about that technique since my school days where we did some in an art class -- jr high or high school?! :)) How fun to think about that again! Yours are very pretty!
