I love all things stump work & felting.
Where did you learn your textile skills?
Most of it was self taught. But I am currently doing a level 3 stupwork embroidery course, through the City & Guild. With WS-Touchbase.

Hi Elizabeth,You asked about my tree mandala ! I made a rough drawing of a tree and transferred to fabric....The trunk was done with crewel wool couched down and then I used a 'crochet hook to 'knarl' more wool, under and around to get the effect of a tree trunk ! And that is it really.....I then sewed in all the ends of wool and applied 3-4 strands french knots across the branches !!! I hope this helps, if you dont understand my explanation let me know and I will try to explain better for you !
