"What a great way to use up scraps. It just shows that we can use all our scraps if we try and not send them to landfill"

Profile Information

What textiles are you interested in?
I like to play with other peoples' scraps to create what I call fiber collage. This includes layers of fibers, buttons, beads and more, worked with both machine and hand embroidery.
Where did you learn your textile skills?
I learned to sew from my mother,in high school and through 4H. I learned pattern drafting at college, and have worked for several art-to-wear artists. I was introduced to a whole new world of fiber art when working at the Textile Center in Minneapolis.
Let us know you are not a spammer. Is there anything else you want to say to introduce yourself to the group?
My own work has taken the form of handbags, jewelry and most recently, wall art. My desire to do extensive free motion machine embroidery has helped me to amass quite a collection of materials. The actual doing has been much slower in coming.
