Trip to Middle East (Egypt, Jordan, Israel)

I am planning a trip to the Holy Land and am wondering what I might find while there that would be good for stitching.  I do believe there will be beads.  Does anyone know of other things to look for?See More

"Are you using two layers of fabric?  I thought you just do one layer.  Are the rings, buttons, etc in between two layers of fabric and you stitch through both layers of fabric?"

I love fabrics and everything that goes with it. I have a mid-arm quilting machine. I love crazy quilt blocks with embroidery threads, ribbons and beads. I have been featured quilter in our quilt show and was guild president for three years. And best of all, I am a christian and love the Lord.
