Giant Turtle - Palestrina Stitch Wk 26 Tast 2012

"Your background brings movement to your finished piece, nice usage of fabric to enhance.  Your turtle is so cute, the angle of his feets (is that what they are called??), makes me feel that the turtle is moving through the water."

Profile Information

What textiles are you interested in?
Quilting, Crazy embroidery quilting, embroidery of all types, art quilts.
Where did you learn your textile skills?
My interest in textiles started with my paternal grandma showing me how to knit and fancy work. Over the years I have been inspired by attending various workshops run by talented artisans.
Let us know you are not a spammer. Is there anything else you want to say to introduce yourself to the group?
My current passion is a small crazy quilt wallhanging. The blocks depict my somewhat ordinary life so far. It has been ongoing for at least 5 years!! My goal is to have it completed by the end of 2010.
Nature is my inspiration in all my quilting and art and I have an obsessive liking for Kaffe Fassett fabric and designs.

thank you Dianne for your email re crazy quilting. It is the design and placing I want the help with more than the stitching so will have another look for the Judith`s books, have her elegant stitches book which also has crazy stitches in but no planning as it is a stitch book.I really should stop buying books as I have fsr too many but cannot resist them.
