Hi, I love these pillows. The colors are wonderful and the stitching around the circles unifies the whole design very well. Could you tell me about how you made the circular motifs? They look like yo-yos, but they seem much fuller.
Hi! Thanks for your message. I learned my stumpwork etc from just following the instructions in kits, books and magazines etc. You'll be able to do the same and it should work well. Just take it slowly and read through *all* the instructions before starting so that you have a clear picture of the process. Also, you could perhaps try on some spare fabric to practise getting things looking right.
In June I visited Ronda in the mountains,Southern Spain. I have taken my memories of the visit and hand stitched, white on white the images of bullrings/arches/ceramic tiles/orange tree etc.. I stitched this whilst in hospital...now home, I will dye it. Will send photo later.
I love Kantha work.
I am a new member. I love your work, especially the abstract. Like me, it seems you like to try all types of stitching !! Have never been to India, its on my list ! Last year I toured the Far East.
