I've added some new photos to my Christmas Wallhanging album that show more angels I will be using for the interior of the composition.

Here is a beautiful winter floral spray I machine embroidered for my Christmas wallhanging. There will be 2 mirror imaged from each other near the bottom of the composition.

Some of the outer blocks for my Christmas wallhanging. The outer blocks will be about 10". The little inner diamond is about 4". These motifs are machine stitched on a 6 spool Babylock machine. Each motif was roughly 35-45 minutes to stitch.

Debra said… Thanks Deb, I was trying to figure out how to invite you to be a friend.
Sandy Hutchinson said… Yes, Debra, I did find Effie's book exciting! And Shirley's. I am going to have to get over myself and not be so shy about my work being rather elementary compared to the more experienced stitchers. You have been so gracious to give us all these opportunities to see the different things we can experiment with. I need to ask a question on the fabric that I will be putting the swatches on.....do I use any quilting cotton and do I back that with something if I am going to work my stitch swatches on top of that? I am not sure about the construction of the page. Do I work the stitches on swatches of linen and then cut them out and apply onto the background fabric? Is the background fabric fused with something? Thanks
emily brailsford said… Im not that bothered about incorporating the scrumble however, Ive signed up to the bead journal project (as if I havent got enough to do) and Ive decided to do small butterflies which I thought I could incorporate into my flower themed wall hanging..........what do you think?
emily brailsford said… Hi Debra, its Emily, not done any scrumbles yet, crochet is not my forte, why do you ask?
Gina said… Oh I hadn't thought about putting tatting on them since it is an embroidery focus primarily... I might do that.
Gina said… Yes, I learned to tat specifically so i could put the tatting on crazy quilts! LOL
Nancy Gardner said… Thank you Debra, I look forward to learning more on this site. I am a newbie to embroidery. I love your gallery of work. Are you a hand embroiderer?

Gina said… I just saw this:
Last Call---we have one space remaining in the study group of 12 for the TAST and CQJP. If you are interested, email me your name, private email and blog address.
Is that space still available? I tried to email you but it said I had to be your friend first. You can contact me at gshillitani@yahoo.com
Carol N-B said… Debra I would be interested in joining a study group. Have just completed Sharon's Encrusted CQ course and wonder does make me ineligible and not classed as a newbie - hope not!!
Thank you for your comments about pre-piecing blocks and using them as stitch samples instead of making samples into a book. Will have to decide very soon which way to go as I don't want to start in January and wondering how and why instead of stitching.
