This is really nice. I enlarged it to 400% on my computer screen to see the detail. It must have taken a while to complete. It is sort of a meditative piece (peace :-), don't you think?

Hand Embroidery, Crochet & Knitting. I love the meditation of the stitches. To find like minded individuals who enjoy the same things I enjoy who feel the same way when they stitch.
Where did you learn your textle skills?
My grandmother taught me all of the needlearts when I was about 6. When other people would buy dolls I would buy pillowcases and yarn.
Anything else you want to say to introduce yourself to the group??
I live with my husband and son in Upstate NY with a darling little dog and I spend too much time on the computer instead of being in the zone with my stitchery. I am also trying to make a living with my needlearts but finding it not so easy.
Thank you! I've always been very fond of peacock feathers. The photos of your embroidery are lovely. I especially like the green hand with pink flowers. I love the color combination and it has lots of movement in it due to the stitching directions. Very nice!
