"Go slow and look twice on where the fingers are before cutting.  Close it up after you make your cuts - I usually close it between cuts also."

"Just be very careful. Dont get your fingers to close to the edge of the ruler you are using. I have gone to fast and cut across the top of 2 fingers once."

Is there anything else you'd like other members of Stitchin' Fingers to know about you? Please feel free to tell us a little bit about yourself by way of introduction.
I have always enjoyed making and using textiles - things that can be useful as well as beautiful. I now have a bit more time and am picking up my pins, needles and hooks again. I have discovered the lovely work of Teesha Moore and Jude Hill and hope by using some of the techniques they practise to be able to develop a style of my own.

Dear Deborah,

Thank you for your nice comments on my TAST-piece. Check out my Algerian Eyelet dog over on my page! I really loved this TAST-stitch. Although it was a bit of a challenge to stitch a dog with it!

Have a nice day, Jessica

I saw Temptatio and thought "I bet she follows Jude Hill." It's really lovely.

really nice work!  love the stuffed hearts... and the squares with all the running stitches!  I ALSO have been influenced by Jude Hill's beautiful work - and it's nice to see how you are running with it!

Hi, Deborah, thanks for be-friending me.  I will be following the progress of your tied quilt with interest, as this is one craft I have not yet tried. (I can see the influence of Jude in your work :)

Hi Deborah,

Welcome.  I only joined a few days ago yet I am really enjoying the site.

I see that like me, you like a whole range of textile based crafts, I also dip into whatever feels right to go with my projects - no standing on ceremony with me I'm afraid.

Tina
