Dear Paula, Thanks for your comment.
I am not so prolific, but
1: I was during one month without Net; so I win very many time for embroiderer!
2/ I work outside, when I am coming back at home at the evening, I rest with my embroidery, my dreams. Time is running quietly!
3/ It's not big works, only squares; they will be assembled later.
Dear Dr. Paula
The clasps come with the bead embroidery kits designed by Ms. Reiko Matsukawa I purchase at the Japanese Embroidery Center when I attend my continuing education classes with Master Matsukawa annually. The gentleman that designed that particular clasp in my Floral Melody handbag has stopped making it and it is no longer available. I am certified to teach Japanese Bead Embroidery and Japanese Silk Embroidery. The bead embroidery came about after the war when no one was purchasing kimono on commission from the Kurenai-Kai community in Togane City, Japan. So Ms. Matsukawa took embroidery techniques and translated the silk stitches into bead stitches and created cocktail handbags for sale which would sell more easily. She published her first book on this unique style of bead embroidery in 2006, but this spring the publishing company Ondori closed it's doors. The JEC has a few copies left it you are interested in getting one. Contact me directly if you have anymore questions. maryelvis@sbcglobal.net
Thank your for your compliments! yes, the tree is bullion stitch with fine rayon thread. I made them really long so they would twist and curl like that.
I was admiring your work, it looks so smooth and perfect and professional! Are the branches and trunk of the orange tree bullion stitch?
Thanks Paula. I am working from the college. I am without computer, and now they are holidays......it will be closed.and I shall be without email.
You can do the same bowls;, they are not very difficult to do.
Warm regards

Thanks for noticing my new pieces. I have been using the macro feature on my digital camera. But it is really hard to see how good the focus is, when looking at an LCD screen. I'll just have to keep trying to improve.
