I'm trying to change this page from "CYBER FYBER" to my personal page. Personally, I am most interested in embroidery. I work generally in series and often toward complete installations of work. Currently I am creating "Decision Portraits", a series on which the stitched words and title reflect the decision made by the "model". I have a blog to explain the concepts and document the work: http://decisionportraits.blogspot.com. I am also working on a series of Grave Rubbing Quilts. One of my installations, Blues Chapel, is headed to Denton, TX for a solo show this coming November through the first part of 2010. My artistic blog is: http://artbysusanlenz.blogspot.com.
Where did you learn your textle skills?
Columbia, South Carolina USA
Anything else you want to say to introduce yourself to the group??
I originally joined Stitchin' Fingers as "CYBER FYBER". The exhibition was wonderful and brought together fiber artists from 26 different countries and all but six of the states in the USA with whom I traded fiber postcards and ATCs as well as put on display the work of nearly 20 international artists (including Stitchin' Finger's creator, the talented Sharon B!) Now, however, it seems a little ridiculous to have my profile still reflecting this past show. To visit the CYBER FYBER show, just go to http://cyberfyberexhibition.blogspot.com

Just visited your blog ....it's blown me away.....what fantastic powerful work
the faux stained glass is delicious but the decision portrait series is very powerful. I teach a large number of muslim girls in my school ....I find they bring their own culture into their work..I learn from them too......... .I love teaching in a multicultural inner city school it is so rich and inspiring I am very lucky
