Thank you. Connie, for taking the time to comment!
I do enjoy the little pieces, they're great when you don't feel like emersing yourself in hours of stitching - a bit like a paperback, as opposed to 'War & Peace' !

Thanks for noticing my bobbin lace. It is the type called torchon. I designed it as a consequence of a Turkish art exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago in the mid 80s. Virginia Bath gave a workshop in association with the exhibit and challenged the participants to use it as a springboard for design. I think I was the only one who actually did. Bobbin lace design is about differences in density and weave.
And while I've been writing this comment, your slide show has been playing. I'm going to have to come back tomorrow and look some more.
Aw, shucks... no, no, yours is WAY more beautiful! I'm serious- do write an article for my blog. You have such an incredible range of skills- I think people would be interested in knowing how you got into this and what inspires you!
Hi, Conni- I just took a look at your blog and your range in embroidery is immense! Beautiful work. Would love to have you come on my blog, Fiber Focus, as a guest artist. Let me know if you would like to write an article. Rachel
