I have received a lovely ATC from Allyson. I've put a pic on our blog.
I got all info and it looks sooo good. this is going be such fun. let everybody check if their addresses are correct. my data are correct.
might be that she's away for a little holiday or something like that. or the flu that's going around.
it DOES work. she no longer asks what tea I drink. at the front I'm totally grey, at the back (I have long hair) its dark blonde. mom does think its not fair, me being more grey than she is.

- What aspect of textiles are you interested in?
- I'm into both crazy quilting and art quilting; dyeing fabric, including cutting stencils and stamps: http://crazydyer.shutterfly.com . for my cq I like to crochet motifs, including Irish crochet. I also tat motifs. my art quilting usually includes silk flowers. I swap ATCs and fibercards. I'm addicted to crocheting and knitting stoles and scarfs, plunging into lace knitting lately.

I don't knit very much I'm still a beginner, but I have made a few scarves. I want to start a tank top this Winter and hopefully have it done by Spring!
I do crochet and have not done any 'scrumbling", that's when you go freeform with the yarn isn't it? I'd love to try that sometime. I have been crocheting since I was 18 (that was many mango seasons ago!).
I do love to dye also. I first started this summer with the baggie dyeing, as I live on the 2nd floor of an apt bldg, I don't have a lot of room for big buckets. I did dye greens a couple of weeks ago too and this past weekend I used up my bright blue and fuschia that was left over from the green dyepot, so I have more bright colors. I'll post a pic of the greens. I do like the unexpected results you get from dyeing, especially doing a color family or gradiations. I am using the book "Hand Dyed Fabric Made Easy", by Adriene Buffington. It's out of print but I found a used copy on Amazon. LOL And ~yes~ I had fuschia hands yesterday!!

We are off to Nova Scotia in the a.m. for 'my' holiday from housework. A week with nothing to do except enjoy the scenery and hopefully the seafood along the Atlantic coast.
