Profile Information

What textiles are you interested in?
I'm into both crazy quilting and art quilting; dyeing fabric, including cutting stencils and stamps: http://crazydyer.shutterfly.com . I've discovered snowdyeing and wish we would get more snow over here, also I love trying new patterns of shibori. for my cq I like to crochet motifs, including Irish crochet. I also tat motifs. my art quilting usually includes silk flowers. I'm addicted to crocheting and knitting stoles and scarfs, plunging into lace knitting lately. Nowadays I love to design tea cosies and I love knitting fair isle patterns.
Where did you learn your textile skills?
my mom taught me to knit, my grandmother taught me to crochet. most other things were learned from books by try and error. I'm always curious and love the "what if ..." question.
Is there anything else you'd like other members of Stitchin' Fingers to know about you? Please feel free to tell us a little bit about yourself by way of introduction.
2013: I'm looking forward to a new year of swapping book pages.
also, I'm participating in a whisper quilt (probably more than one) and I'm halfway a cq rr with woods and forests theme.
I just finished one ufo and have several more to quilt and bind. I have 2 fabric books to put together and make a front and backing for. also I should be finishing cq blocks and put the small blocks of several dyb rr blocks together and finish them.
I'm busy designing a stole in fair isle, which is big fun. I hope I still like it when its finished.

Hoi Cobi,

Fijne avond, Jessica
