I read on the postcard swap page you received the postcard I sent. Your postman gave it a little extra trip by delivering it to your neighbor. Glad it all worked out.
I was just fixing to ask you Celia if you were in dyehard group,, just got through reading the message Cobi had sent you...So neat we are in this group together. I just signed in to stitchin fingers and saw this new group,,said I got to join this one.
oops I was wrong, Thelma is here as well!
I don't own Ineke's book, but all the stuff she'd brought to show us her work is wonderfull. I loved the piece where she'd printed a black and white map over red painted Lutrador. in another piece she'd used a bit of another printed map in a landscape and it looked just right. Ineke was inspired by the book by Barbara Lee Smith and she'd brought it for us to look through and that is also garantueed to make you drool. but Ineke has given it her own twist. she may be inspired by Barbara, she didn't copy. Ineke lives in the UK and gives workshops so maybe you get a chance to attend one. its well worth it. we've asked her for another workshop, we'll be working with sheers then. with positive and negative parts in the piece. hope I put that right. I mean, parts are burned away so you can look right through it.
hi Celia, I think you are the first Dyehard on this group besides me. I really love this group/network. yesterday I've been to a workshop by Ineke Berlyn, she taught us to make a landscape with Lutrador. It was a fantastic workshop and I feel so inspired. and she is such a nice teacher, we asked her to return for another workshop later this year. and I love making landscapes.
