In 2007 Sharon Boggon ran a challenge - Take a Stitch on Tuesday. TAST appears to be great for the beginners among us as the stitches are explained in great detail and with many photos to help someone master them. Everyone is welcome to join us.
Hi Marg,
I don't know if this is the best book but I find it good. It is called;
'The Needle-Made Lace of Reticella' by Jules & Kaethe Kliot Published by Lacis, (1994).
It actually draws on work from the DMC Library for the instructions plus lot ...
Hi Carolyne, Fancy you visiting my private mountain - beautiful isn't it. Jim and I took the grandchildren up to Walkabout Creek recently to the animal and reptile enclosure followed by morning tea, they had a wonderful time. We often go for the 5k walk around the Enoggera Dam- if you get time it is worthwhile, not sure if the tracks have been cleared after the big storm though, probably worth checking with the rangers if you want to go. See you soon. Margaret
Hi Carolyne, What a huge network-I could spend hour upon hour going thru all this. My stitching is suffering because of it!! I will have to become a little more disciplined!! Margaret
Hi Carolyne, you are lucky to teach textiles to teenagers. Here it is not teached in school anymore (it was many years ago). It could be possible only as an extra activity in the afternoon, but I'm not sure that many teens would register for it.
Antonietta and her sister, Annamaria, are great teachers. Antonietta is getting old and gets tired more easily, so now Annamaria is holding the most difficult and exacting classes. I'm going to learn Hedebo with her, on next June. I can't wait to work with her again.
Thank you so much! They were showing me a similar technique in Puerto Rico, though the edging was different/more secure. This will come in very handy. Thank you again for digging for me!
Thankyou
I will report back as to culling my patchwork fabrics I have so many I want to do and finish but I do have to start slowly maybe a plie a day (week)
Hi Carolyne
Your words about my angel, is a new emotions fo me because this is the synthesis of what I try to do, thank so much by them!
Hugs
