"You are right. It is a beautiful keepsake and you know the history. As Sharon said about using it for inspiration you could make your own and enjoy the journey of stitching it. Then you could compare then and now."

"Susan, your stitching is awesome. Love your blog. Live on the coast and get to collect from the sea from time to time.  Use all the wonderful finds in my CQ under the sea blocks. Thanks for your teaching."

Profile Information

What textiles are you interested in?
I have no main interest. I love BE, stump work, quilting, CQ and most hand work. My favorite magazine is Inspirations.
Where did you learn your textile skills?
Stitchin fingers. I was on a blog of one of the CQI's when I found this.
Let us know you are not a spammer. Is there anything else you want to say to introduce yourself to the group?
I have too many sewing macines, enough embroidery floss to reach the moon and will never have enough silk ribbon to have enough. I love silk ribbon work.

I have done some needle tatting as well.  I got a book from the public library and taught myself from that.  Can you imagine all the work and time that was required for some of the vintage pieces we see now?

Hi Carol!

I am new to this site and it is nice to meet you.  I love the comment about you having too many sewing machines and enough embroidery floss to reach the moon.  That sounds like me!
