I enjoy embellishing, quilting (mostly small art quilts, CQ), knitting and felting. I've just developed a strong interest in altered clothing, most of which is much too funky for me to wear, but it's fun to do for others.

Carol,
you mentioned on Wearable art group that you sent me an email through my website. Thanks!
I don't get email through the sandysnowden one. but I can receive email through the craftycostume one.
you might like to try again.
HI, if you check out http://takeitfurtherchallenge.blogspot.com/ you will see finished monthly pieces, may help explain things if you see the variety of peices created from either the colours or the concept or both.
Carol-Anne, Thanks for the help. I had not seen this page before and it's a big help. I originally meant to post a question about this group, not to join. Here I am anyway and I'm staying and will do what I can to put a thought into a quilt block. This isn't the way I think but the challenge will hopefully jump start my brain to try things out of my comfort zone. (Yeah, I watch American Idol)
The avatar is one of my quilt blocks I'm doing from a class that Freddy Moran holds and her book "Collaborative Quiling." I'm not using her method I'm using fusibles and will add embellishments and treat the edges later.
You asked about the TIF challenge. Magpie Sue has left left an explaination in the comments for the TIG group but just in case you haven't seen it, here is a link to Sharon's Take it Further page that has links to each month's challenge

Welcome to the world of "Stitchin Fingers" I think there's lots here to interest you, and everyone seems so friendly. Be sure to check out the groups and see if you want to join any of them.
