Thank you for your comments. It takes me about 5/6 hours to make one thimble.
They are quite popular in Japan now and it is possible to get instructions,but they are in Japanese! You could try www.temarikai.com; look for "thingsjapanese" on the top tool bar ; then choose "yubinuki" where there are simple instructions in English.At present I do not actually sell them; I am building up a collection.
