Hi Ayala,
I've got two sewing machinges both Husquvarna. The new on is a Sapphire, the same age as yours. She started to make noise ( a kind of song) after less than one year. I brought it to the repair shop, they found metallic thread had wind up in the mechanism. Their advice was to always use the little net provided with the machine around the thread. This way the thread feed is better. I also found that when the machine starts singing it is because the bobin case is dirty. So now, at the end of each sewing day, I clean the bobin case. My machine and I are quite happy since then (fingers crossed :-))
Ayala,
I have just visited your blog and loved the bags knitted with strips of fabric. I knitted a mat years ago, and I think it will last forever! Perhaps I will try a bag instead! Did you line yours?
ayala, thank you for the nice note you left on my blog about our president-elect. it will certainly be a breath of fresh air to actually LIKE our president for a change, after watching the current one make a mess of our world for the past 8 years. thanks for being so interested too!
hey you've added some new photo's! How lovely your crazy work still is. How are you coming along with your new embellisher? Have you seen the onlinecourse on texpertise?
The online workshop just started last friday here:

Such a nice thing to do at home when your children are little!
When mine were young we didn't have computers in the house, I gave "Waldorf dolls" workshops at home, was also very nice;-)!
There are a lot of online classes, very nice!
Go and work on your embellisher, play with all kinds of fabrics etc. The first year I had my machine I hardly used it, but now I know how nice it is!
Marja.
Hello Ayala!
Nice to hear from you! You make lovely creations.
I like quilting but at the time I'm mostly busy with my embellisher, a very simpel Happylock, but I can do what I want on it!
I have done some workshops online for the embellisher (Beate Knappe and Dale Rollerson) and learned a lot.
The needles I cut myself, a lot cheaper and don't break a lot but after a while you need new and sharp ones.
I like to experiment with all kinds of fabric etc. Mostly I make ATC's or postcards of it.
I like all kinds of workshops online and now I'm busy with the "textured surfaces", my hands are white of the molding paste right now;-).
I'm planning to make a "felted" quilt for a long time, but a like so many things.
Do you like the embellisher?
Marja.
